About the Coach.

I’m Johnny Ray, a vocal coach from the Spring Hill Area. I teach from my home in Spring Hill. I have 10 years of training with an highly esteemed opera maestro, and am a vocals professional certificate holder from Berklee College of Music!

My job is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one, they learn important foundational techniques to help them boost their skills and self-esteem. I am a singer in a metal band (if you couldn’t tell from the picture of me belting it out on stage!), but if you don't like metal, thats okay! I’m actually an opera trained and Berklee College of Music trained vocalist, and I teach any and all styles of singing! In the picture you're looking at here, I'm performing with my metal band "3 Headed Snake" at a huge metal festival called  in the United Kingdom.

I know what it takes starting from absolutely nothing to get to this point. Practicing, practicing, practicing, meeting up with musicians, starting projects and bands to have them never amount to anything, vocal teachers not really helping, confusing information everywhere, from every musician you encounter, to every "expert" posting a youtube video. Well, I am here to untangle all of that, help you cut through all of the confusion, with simple easy to remember and understand vocal exercises that you can practice anywhere, anytime. I will be your friend through this, your guide, the guy who's been there, done that, and has had a level of success!

Another facet of what I do is vocal production. If you're writing a song and just aren't happy with what you've come up with, let me give you the tools you need to bring your recording to the next level! In my home studio, I can even record your vocals and coach you in how to sound the best you can!
